Privacy at WeeWise
WeeWise is in development. This page describes the privacy design we're aiming for. It is not yet the final policy for a published Google Play application. We will review it against the finished app before release.
What we are building
WeeWise is intended to be an offline personal diary for drinks, toilet visits, sleep periods and related user-entered notes. Records will be stored locally on the user's device rather than uploaded to Westcroft Digital.
Accounts and tracking
We do not plan to require accounts, passwords, advertising identifiers, analytics SDKs or location tracking in the app. We do not plan to collect diary data or operate a cloud database of user records.
Sharing and exporting
Users will be able to choose to export or share their own records, including GP-friendly reports and backups. Once information is shared outside WeeWise, the recipient and chosen sharing service may handle it under their own privacy terms.
Website information
Like most hosted websites, weewise.website may generate standard server logs for security and operations, potentially including IP addresses, user agents and access times. Hosting providers may process that information. This website does not intentionally collect health diary records, and it has no sign-up forms or advertising trackers.
Device backups
The planned Android release will be configured to prevent automatic cloud backup of diary data where supported. We intend to offer a manual export and restore option controlled by the user. We will verify the final behaviour before publishing.
Data removal
The planned app will provide ways to remove entries and clear local records. Uninstalling an app may erase locally stored data; users should make a manual backup first if they wish to retain it.
Updates to this statement
We will publish an updated, release-specific policy before the Android app becomes publicly available. For now, this page explains the intended privacy model rather than making unverified claims about an unreleased build.
We count visits to each public page using a small first-party request. We save only the page name, calendar date and total number of page views. We do not store IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers, or anything from your WeeWise diary. These are page views, not unique people.
Your browser and hosting provider may still process technical connection information as part of serving the website. External websites have their own privacy policies.
